The board of Free a Girl consists of Evelien Hölsken. She also forms the management and adheres to these regulations. The work organization consists of paid and unpaid employees. In total there’re not even 8 fte in service. Free a Girl uses the salary scales of the government, the Remuneration Decree Civil Servants (BBRA). In addition, Free a Girl uses a travel policy and a fraud and corruption policy for all its employees and partners. Free a Girl endorses the Partos code of conduct that came into being on 06-11-2012.

The Free a Girl Foundation was established in 2008 by Arjan Erkel, Yolanthe Cabau, Roelof van Laar and Evelien Hölsken. The foundation was made possible by a one-time donation from Bas Consultancy. Yolanthe Cabau is a member of the Supervisory Board. Roelof van Laar has been a member of the House of Representatives since 2013 and therefore had to leave the foundation.

The Supervisory Board supervises the content and financial policy and the state of affairs of the whole organization. The regulations of the Supervisory Board can be read here. The remuneration committee and the audit committee adhere to these rules when preparing the decision-making of the Supervisory Board. The Committee of Recommendation (CvA) of Free a Girl, chaired by Junior Zegger, consists of Petra Goldschmeding and Rattan Chadha. They give the organization a warm heart and take a key position in Dutch society. They give extra cachet to Free a Girl, both on a personal and professional level. Free a Girl gratefully uses their network, experience and expertise. A CvA dinner is organized every year.
